I have a new show that has just opened at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in the H Street/Atlas District in Washington, DC. The exhibit Washington & Chesapeake has a selection of black and white photographs from the city, including monuments and memorials as well as capitol hill homes. I focused on the angles and lines of the buildings in our city. The second part is of the Chespeake Bay, an area that is incredibly beautiful and so different from DC, yet not so far away. I chose all sepia tone photos for this portion of the exhibit. Lastly a favorite, and one of my first pieces, is a large version of “Lamp Post Base”, a color photograph of the Library of Congress lamp post bases.
Check out some of the upcoming performances in theater, dance and music at www.atlasarts.org and stay tuned for more information about my Opening Night Reception!
