Urban Forest Project Exhibit

My banner (on the right) was choosen along with 99 others out 400+ entries to hang in downtown DC this summer as part of the Urban Forest Project DC.  The idea is to have a “forest” throughout downtown.  After they hang in town, they will be recycled into tote bags that will be auctioned off and sold to raise money to plant trees in our neighborhoods.
Before the banners make it to their streetlight poles downtown, they will be displayed at the Corcoran Gallery of Art from May 5-9, 2010.  There’s also a reception Thursday night to view the banners and the (gulp) video they made while interviewing artists.
