Wedding Trends of 2012

A new year is upon us friends.  Year of the presidential election.  Year of the dragon.  Year of new wedding trends.

Soft Glamour

As much as I love the country, handmade, twigs and twine weddings we saw in 2011, I think 2012 is going to bring more glamour, sparkle, elegance and black-tie affairs.  Bringing back pearls, diamonds, lace and gold, I see traditional cream and soft gold color schemes coming into play.

Bold Accents

Pantone recently announced Tangerine Tango as the 2012 Color of the Year and the internet is already flooded with new wedding items highlighting this bright choice.  Bold accent colors are a great way to compliment a white and black contrasted theme or any neutral pairing.  If subtle and muted aren’t in your vocabulary, than opt for a bold reddish/orange or perhaps a lime green or yellow.
