Throwback Thursday // Fourth of July in DC

I won’t be posting a Throwback Thursday next week due to the holiday, but I thought this would be the perfect time to share some fun Independence Day event photos from the Kennedy Center’s 2011 Fourth of July Celebration!  This annual event takes place on the Roof level of the downtown DC building, giving guests a spectacular view of the fireworks.  Each year there is a different theme which is reflected in the decor and food, which in 2011 was the music in america.  I designed large banners for the various themed rooms, including Detroit and Nashville (shown below).  We also created a big, fun sign for the Build Your Own Hot Dog stand!

I’ll be bringing the family back again this year.  The theme this time around is National Parks (can’t wait!).
